Your photo, the driver's seat

This template recreates the Hit the Road Dude trend, also searched as Hit the Road Dude AI. A grumpy driver sits behind the wheel of a white pickup, leans out of the window and guards its patch. Upload one photo of your dog or cat, or of yourself, to take the driver's seat.

Pet driver. In Pets, Photo 1 becomes the pet in the driver's seat, one paw on the window frame, a stern look on its face, then a paw pointing you away.

You at the wheel. In People, Photo 1 is you in the driver's seat with the same lean, glare and pointing arm. You keep your own face and clothes.

Good photos. One pet or one person, face clearly visible, front or three-quarter view. For pets, dogs are the closest match and cats also work. For people, only upload a photo of someone who has agreed to appear.

One photo is enough. The truck and the field come from the original clip. In Pets, the pet wears its cap, plaid shirt and vest; in People, you keep the clothes from your photo.

Before you generate

What is the Hit the Road Dude trend?

A viral clip of a grumpy dog in a pickup truck telling a visitor to move along because it is private property. People remake it with their own pets. This template recreates the scene silently.

How many photos do I need?

One photo: one pet, or one person who has agreed to appear.

Can I use a cat?

Yes. A dog is the closest match, but a cat photo also works.

Can I play the driver myself?

Yes. Choose People and upload a clear photo of yourself. You take the driver's seat in the same truck and do the same moves.

How long is the video, and in what format?

11 seconds, horizontal 16:9, with a 1080p enhanced export and no sound.

How much does one Hit the Road Dude video cost?

50 credits. The smallest one-time pack that covers it is 50 credits for USD 4.49. No subscription is needed.

Is this an official Hit the Road Dude app?

No. Vellm is an independent tool that recreates the trend from your own photos. It is not affiliated with the creators of the original video.

Does the video include the voice from the original?

The video exports without sound. Add music available for your account and intended use in your posting app, then check the timing before sharing.

Will it match the reference?

The original clip guides the head, paw and arm movements. Check that the markings and ears match your pet, or that the face stays yours. A new generation uses another 50 credits and may look different.

What if generation fails?

A failed generation returns the credits it used. This is a credit return, not a cash refund. For a completed result or billing issue, contact support. See the service terms for details.

Will my video have a watermark?

No. Your downloaded video has no watermark.

How long does generation take?

Generation usually takes about 10–15 minutes. It can take longer when the service is busy. We email you when your video is ready.

Do I need an account?

No account is needed for a one-time purchase. Use your checkout email to recover your creations. If you create a video while signed in, use the same account to view it.

What if I don’t like the result?

AI results vary, and a new generation uses credits. If you run into a technical problem, email support@vellm.app.

Can I get a refund?

You can request a refund for a one-time credit pack within 7 days of purchase if none of its credits have been used. Email support@vellm.app. See our terms for details and your consumer rights.

How long do you keep my photos and videos?

Photos are scheduled for deletion after 7 days and videos after 30 days. Download your video before it expires. See our Privacy Policy for details.
