How to make an AI cat dance video from a photo

By Vellm · Updated October 19, 2026

Short answer: pick a cat template, add the cat photos it asks for, check the price, then generate.

  1. Pick a cat template: Smalltown Boy, A2O LITE NEON Dance or Silent Hill Pet Cosplay.
  2. Upload one or two cat photos, one cat per photo. Each template asks for a set number; the table below shows it.
  3. Check the price before you pay: $4.49 for a 50-credit template, $7.99 for a 100-credit one. No account is needed for a one-time purchase.
  4. Generate, then download. It usually takes about 10–15 minutes. The export is silent, so add the trending sound when you post.

Compare every AI cat dance template, with the original trends, real results and prices.

Start with the dance clip you want to make: “AI cat dance” covers several different videos, and a familiar song does not always mean the same moves.

Find the version you want

For the Smalltown Boy duet, look for one character screaming in a close-up while another dances behind. Compare that with the Smalltown Boy reference. If you remember a solo routine or a different scene, check the preview before buying credits.

One photo still gives you a partner

In the cat setup, Cat 1 is required and Cat 2 is optional. Cat 1 takes the opening close-up. Add a separate photo in Cat 2 if you want to choose the second cat yourself. Leave it empty and the template adds a dancer cat, so a single upload does not produce a solo video.

People mode is different: it requires two photos of consenting people. Keep pets in the cat setup rather than mixing photo types between modes.

Choose a photo the model can read

Use one cat per photo, with a clear face and good lighting. Start with the original photo rather than a screenshot. Strong filters can hide fur markings and change facial detail.

If the cat is small in a busy group photo, pick another image where the subject is easier to see. You do not need to photograph your cat dancing. Your cat can be sitting still in the photo. The template adds the movement.

In this example, the long-haired tabby in photo 1 is Cat 1 and screams in the opening close-up. The black-and-white cat in photo 2 is Cat 2 and dances behind. Open the Smalltown Boy template.

Two cat photos, one NEON duet

In this example, the grey cat in photo 1 leads at the front and the Siamese in photo 2 is the partner. Open the A2O LITE NEON Dance template.

Make the clip

  1. Open the Smalltown Boy template and choose Cats.
  2. Add Cat 1 and, if wanted, Cat 2. Read the role labels before starting.
  3. Choose an available setting and check the credit cost. No account is needed: pay once at checkout and your video starts, or use credits you already have.
  4. Start generation and watch the full result in My creations. Check both cats, especially during close-ups and fast movement.

Check the format and cost

The cat template exports silent vertical video. The 1080p label describes enhanced export, not a guarantee that every face or fur detail remains unchanged.

This template uses 100 credits. The smallest one-time pack that covers it is 100 credits for $7.99. If you sign in to a free account, your first purchase of that pack costs $6.99. Prices here are in USD; eligibility, local currency and the final amount are confirmed before payment. A subscription is optional. See how credits and upfront cost compare.

Add sound before you post

The Smalltown Boy song is not included. Add audio available for your account and intended use in TikTok, Reels or your editing app. Preview the timing and watch the exported clip once more before sharing.

When a generation needs another try

If the wrong cat leads, check the photo slots. If markings or faces change, try a clearer source photo. A rerun spends credits again unless the service has returned credits for a failed generation. Check the input before paying for another attempt.
